It also includes a nice touchscreen display with a menu that makes it simple to move through print and scan jobs. Additionally, there is built-in fax, which is useful in places of business like clinics. It prints very swiftly overall and has amazing page yields at a remarkable cost per print. Text Quality
With a fantastic rating, the HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e tied for having the greatest text quality of all the printers we evaluated. Black and white text was consistently of excellent quality and had clear resolution. All font sizes and thin letters were legible, crisp, and almost faultless. When printing bold, black lines and borders, we noticed no striations or faintness. Patterns were intricate, delicate, and monochromatic, with no obvious flaws. The 9015e distinguished itself with an outstanding performance, placing it among the top printers in our test lineup.
It’s important to note that while our tested lineup had some noticeable text quality concerns, the 9015e appeared to have none. We highly suggest this printer to anyone who wants regular and consistently high-quality prints when combined with the other things it does well, such as speed, cost, and ease of use.
Cost of Operation
While the 9015e outperforms most of the other printers in our lineup in terms of black and white cost per page ($11.25 per ream), its color cost per page rating isn’t the best.
In comparison to the other printers we examined, its color cost per ream works out to roughly $45.71; this is relatively average—not bad, but not outstanding.
Check out some of the other printers in our lineup if producing high-quality color images and graphics at a reduced cost is a priority. Otherwise, the 9015e excels at creating really high-quality, reasonably priced prints provided you largely keep to printing monochromatic text.
The investment, which includes three years of cartridge refills, will cost you $525, making it not the least expensive option in our range. For a machine that does so much so well, it’s not bad, even though it’s not cheap.

The 9015e has a strong rating in this metric for its passable images and graphics. The photo prints showed a wide variety of hues. The printer jammed once while testing, but it didn’t notify an error, so the resulting shot had some obvious striping. A simple reprint, however, produced a rich, error-free photo.
Testing graphic prints revealed some subtle striping, but the prints overall had brilliant colors and readable text. Although the resolution was generally clear, we did observe some clarity loss in sizable black blocks with distinct striping. Once again, the printer exhibits a wide variety of deep hues, and color quality was accurate.
For the price, the 9015e produces excellent photo and graphic prints. The more expensive printers in our lineup performed as predicted better, although many printers also performed much worse. We discovered that the 9015e’s performance, together with its excellent results in the other parameters we studied, make it a formidable candidate in our lineup, earning it the title of Top Pick.
Printing Speed
We were impressed by the 9015e’s speed, just like we were with a handful of the other inkjets we examined. Its good overall speed score was a result of its ability to produce nine simplex pages and fifteen duplex pages per minute.
It printed nine pages in roughly 1 minute and 27 seconds when we tested it with a mixed color image and text document. The lettering was clear and the colors were brilliant, but there was no striping. It produced a high-resolution, full-page photo test print in just 24 seconds, and the color quality was outstanding.
During our speed test, we did suffer one jam, but the printer caught it right away and sounded an alert. Once the clog had been cleared, printing had flawlessly resumed.

The HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e is ideal for home offices that are on a tight budget but require regular, high-quality printing. You can acquire a machine that can do anything and do it well at a fair price, even though it’s not the best at anything in particular. The 9015e performs more closely to some of the top printers we tested than some of the other budget printers in our range.
What Additional Printers Should You Think About?
Small workplaces might find that the 9015e meets their needs, while larger offices might wish to take a closer look at the printers in our lineup. The HP LaserJet Pro M428fdw is a rapid laser printer with the capacity to crank out prints quickly if your printing needs are limited to black and white. However, the Epson Workforce Pro WF-4820 is a safe option if you’re seeking for a cost-effective inkjet printer that generates better-quality photo prints.
